Our team is especially excited for SMX East because it’s our first year attending. Plus, our very own account manager John Colantoni will be giving a presentation at SMX about capturing mobile searchers.

We can’t wait to get in on the digital marketing conversation at this year’s expo, so we thought we’d get a head start by sharing a sneak preview of John’s presentation with our readers. In this Q&A, John will tell you what SMX East attendees can plan on hearing during his presentation and why you should come hear the full-length talk. So without further ado, let’s hear from John.

Q: What can we expect to hear during your presentation?

A: The pay-per-click (PPC) buzzword for 2015 has been “mobile.” Starting with the great Mobilegeddon scare, continuing through to Google’s new offering of Mobile Click-to-Call along with new Mobile-Ad Friendly formats. It’s not only PPC’ers who have taken notice, but our clients as well.

During my presentation I will be covering how to conquer the mobile market, and how to make sure a client is connecting with their customers through mobile.

Q: What inspired you to speak about this topic?

A: I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten calls from clients freaking out, not knowing how to handle this big jump to mobile.

The main concern many clients have had is wondering how to target their customers on a mobile device. I want my listeners to be able to realize that they too can have a great mobile strategy and can bring in a great return-on-investment (ROI) for their business.

Q: Can you tell us about one original piece of advice you’ll be sharing that day?

A: One of the most important pieces I will be covering is how to adjust your mobile bids. This is something many clients and even industry experts struggle with.

Q: Why should people come to your presentation at SMX East?

A: First of all, I’m a pretty funny guy…But, in all seriousness, I will be breaking down mobile campaigns in layman’s terms. No PPC jargon, no industry slang. I want the regular, everyday business owner to be able to understand how to reach their mobile customers.
